The Kurdish Emirate of Malkishi (Emirs of Malekshahi), ruled over the region of Çemişgezek and Several parts From Dersim in Turkish Kurdistan, which was part of the historical land of ancient Iran (Iranshahr). This emirate consisted of three branches: Mazgirt, Pertek and Sağman. The power, Extent, and population of this emirate among the Kurds were such that the word Kurdistan was used for this emirate. Their rule began in the 11th and 12th centuries AD (fifth and sixth centuries AH) and peaked in the 14th to 16th centuries AD (eighth to Tenth centuries AH) and continued until the middle of the Safavid and Ottoman periods. They then dispersed and migrated to the western parts of Iranian Plateau and parts of eastern Iraq and northeastern Iranian Plateau. Sources and Inscriptions mention one of the family's rulers, Khalid al-Malkishi al-Kurdi. This article is about the establishment of a school founded by the grandson of Khalid Bey Malkishi, Emir Yelman Bey, as well as the tombs of two emir Malekshahi, Emir Sheikh Hassan Kurd and Emir Farokhshad Bey, and some coins minted in Çemişgezek by the emirs of Malkishi in the name of the rulers of that period, Have been mentioned. Based on these data and inscriptions, we understand that the names of the rulers and emirs of Malekshahi have nothing to do with the Seljuq dynasty, and the rulers of Malekshahi have explicitly called themselves Kurds. Finally, the family tree of the emirs of Malkishi until the Safavid and Ottoman Period is drawn.
